Creative Commons

ED Tech, EdTech, intellectual property, multimedia learning theory, network literacy, open pedagogy

In today’s class we discussed copyright and creative commons. Something that I found interesting was that a lot of people are unaware of how to properly use copyright licenses and end up including them into their work when they are intended for it to actually be marked as creative commons. Through this discussion we covered copyright and free copyright, fair use which is in the USA and fair dealing which is used in Canada. Through this class I learned that creative commons website is a reliable and save site where any one can search up photos to use in their future projects or even our blogs. This is extremely important because when finding a post on google images there may be copyright on them without us being aware of where it is coming from and who is posting it in order to give it proper attribution.
